Demo!

The last 6 days we completed the Demo of this property. The garage and front yard are loaded with everything from the inside of the house, good thing the dumpster will be delivered tomorrow.

What an experience doing the demo..I have had allot of help from my father in law (Kit). I work a full time job during the day so while I am working Kit has been completing the demo and building walls.

Wednesday we had the Hugh tree removed from the front on the house.. What a difference opens up the yard.

OH< almost forgot...listen to this, We are getting new carpeting for the bedrooms for FREE a sister of a friend of mine closed on her new house and did not want the new carpeting, she wanted wood floors..So we got the new carpeting. This is the power of word of mouth.. Tell everyone what you do YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL GET FOR FREE.

This weekend we will be busy filling the dumpster, I have the plumber coming on Sunday to get that done and meeting another contractor Sunday to discuss other work.

I am starting to market for buyers... Getting people pre-approved for a mortgage and down payment assistance if needed..(FHA Financing)... Ordered Bandit signs today.

Di is really getting into the investing mode after dinner she wanted to drive the neighborhood for vacant houses, listings or anything that resembled MONEY...

It's Ours !!!

Well we closed today.. We own it..like it or not....I am looking forward to doing some of the work and getting this project going.
My wife (Di) and I have been at each others throats about what contractors we are going to hire if any.. Di is trying to squeeze every dollar out of this property unlike me I don't want to spend every hour of my day at the house.. More to come tomorrow I am doing all the demo tomorrow and Sunday... Let you know how that goes.


P.S. I will add some posts in the future detailing how we found the property, what the offer looked like, financing, estimates from contractors, the back and forth conversations with Di and I and how we plan to sell this property in the slowing market..
